Setting the Goal

As I'm writing this Georgia is playing LSU for the SEC title. That's college football for those of you who weren't sure what I was referring to. I'm partial to Georgia, since I pastored there for ten years. LSU is favored to win, but I'm hoping that Georgia can at least make a good showing, even if they don't end up winning. They've been able to at least score a goal so far.

So what is my goal in writing these blogs? Well, to put it simply, I want to be able to write what God has placed on my heart. Sometimes it may be an extension of the message from Sunday. At other times it may be something God has been speaking to me about during the week. But the main goal is to deepen your own relationship with God by causing you to think a little deeper about some issues concerning God and your relationship to Him. I want to write in such a way that causes you and I to grow as His children, His disciples. To God be the glory!
